Planet Kids

We are going to be running a week long programme for children who are being homeschooled in August from the 2nd to the 6th. This programme will consist of 5 consecutive sessions, running from 9am to 1pm each day. These sessions will focus on team building, group work, communication skills, relationship building, problem solving and decision making. The content of the sessions will determined …by the children’s interests and abilities. We take their input and create a unique, collaborative learning experience. Basically, the group of children enrolled in the programme will select a project they want to work on and then make it happen with the support of a facilitator. For example, they may want to create a musical CD, construct a 3-D model of a wildlife sanctuary or explore Newton’s laws of motion. The purpose of the sessions are for children to learn about themselves, each other and the world around them in an engaging and effective manner! It is also for them to set goals and work towards achieving those goals as part of a group.

The venue for the programme will be Planet Kids at 3 Wherry Road, Muizenberg.

The cost is R500
